Welcome to Herz Home (pronounced hair-tz!), we believe that every moment, space, and gesture has the opportunity to be beautiful and bring joy. We want you to walk (ahem, scroll) through our virtual store and find something that feels like a treat. Whether it's for yourself or for another, our love language at the store is definitely gift giving which brings us to our first post... we believe in the GIFT BOX. 

What is it? A box/closet filled with a few gifts that are ready to go at a moment's notice. 

Why have one? Last minute housewarming, spur of the moment birthday gathering, you thought you'd have time, you forgot, or you found THE PERFECT thing for your bestie but their birthday is nine months away. There are always moments where life doesn't go as planned (which can be unexpectedly fun) but it's good to have a few tricks (gifts) up your sleeve to be prepared. You can even get great deals! 

What to put in it? There are a two ways we go about filling the box. The first is to help us when we're not prepared, by filling it with small non person specific items (luxe candles, soaps, nice spirits, blank and birthday cards) which are easy to grab on the go. The second is because we are thoughtful and think ahead-- we think of our close friends and family often when perusing items and whenever we think someone will love something, we suggest getting it then and there (as long as it's not perishable) to stow it away for the next gifting occasion. See a pair of socks on sale in January you know your sibling will love? Stash it in the box as a stocking stuffer for the holidays!

Closing thoughts: Things in and of themselves aren't the most important things in life but gestures are one way to show the thoughtfulness you already have in your heart so take a little time, write a note, and make someone's day.
